Focus Chambers Shopfitting. An area of construction with time constraints and requirements. Jeremy Woodward has experience in dealing with the legal issues.

Shopfitting

I act for restaurants, shops, shopping centres, developers, funders and other organisations on the legal issues arising from the construction, refurbishment and operation of retail and restaurant premises.

Understanding what a client needs and working directly with them to achieve their commercial aims is a fundamental part of my role and in doing so I approach the legal issues in a way which recognise the difficulty faced by clients working in a competitive market.

Advice is given on matters relating to the construction aspects of the shopfitting process (whether the outlet remains open or is closed) as well as such matters as:-

• Dispute resolution

• Appropriate terms of business

• Supplier agreements

• Outsourcing agreements

• Joint ventures

Advice is also given on methods of construction procurement, appropriate professional appointments and amendments to the relevant agreements are drafted and negotiated to reflect the challenges faced in this specialist area.
